Tina Barnes
Tina has been teaching dance in Killeen for the past 50 years. She opened Tina's Dance & Gymnastics in 1966 and has taught more than 12,000 students  ranging in age from 18 months through 90 years of age.     Jennifer Love Hewitt was a student of Tina's from 1981 through  1989 when she left Killeen to pursue her dreams in LA, California.
    Tina began her dance training at the age of 3 at the Anette Duval School Of Dance in Austin, Texas.  Her Dad’s job required moving from town to town almost yearly until age 13 when they moved back to Killeen to stay. Tina trained with Jimmie Ruth White until 1966, when Jimmie closed Spotlight Dance Studio and moved to Dallas.  Jimmie was Tina’s dance mentor.   Tina has taught on the National Dance Faculties of Ray Hollingsworth’s Dance Troupe Inc, Danny Hoctors Dance Caravan, & National Association Of Dance Affiliated Artists. Tina has judged at all levels of dance competitions.  She was certified by test to teach through dance Masters in 1980.  Honors include, Killeen’s Woman  Of The Year in 1980, selected for the National Registry Of Who’s Who In Executives and Businesses in 2000, 2005 and again in 2006.  Tina had an exercise show on KNCT-TV, Tina’s 10 during the 1980’s.   The dancers at Tina’s have been competing at regional & national levels since 1976, winning top level awards. Tina’s has been voted THE BEST & Also among the best of dance studios by the KDH readers poll for the past 7 years, and was selected "THE BEST STUDIO" for 2007-2008. Tina's dancers have performed locally, regionally & internationally, to include Russia, Denmark, Sweden & Carnival Cruise Lines. Our staff and studio has also been a family atmosphere and will continue those traditions through the next generation of Tina’s.   Tina & Mike were childhood sweethearts in 1959 and again 1n 1964 .  The were married in 1988.   She is also a staff member of STARBOUND NATIONAL TALENT COMPETITIONS as a stage manager ,merchandiser and judge.


CAMMIE CAUSEY:
 
Cammie began as a student at Tina’s in 1970.  She was the 1st student in the history of Tina’s to begin student teacher training. She was on the staff of Tina’s in the early years and eventually became a studio owner in Lampasas and later in the Dallas area. Cammie recently moved back to Killeen and has been assisting Tina with all the adult classes.  Cammie teaches Belly Dance, Tap , Clog, Vallroom & Country Western.  She has 2 children, Clint & Shaina and 3 grandchildren.  We are so excited to have Cammie on our staff.

Gracie Pedroza :   Gracie is the ZUMBA QUEEN!!  Once she infects you with her contagious energy and ZEST FOR ZUMBA you will be hooked!!
